Are these really 100% blackout, or just “blockout” like normal blinds?
Yes — these are true 100% blackout blinds.
Unlike standard roller blinds that leave gaps around the edges, our system uses a fully enclosed frame with side channels and a sealed bottom rail, blocking light from every angle.

Why are these more expensive than standard roller blinds?
Because they’re not a roller blind.

Are they safe for kids and pets?
Yes.
There are no cords or chains, making them a much safer option for homes with children and pets.
My window is wider than 3 metres — will this still work?
Yes.
For openings wider than 3 metres, we use multiple blinds side by side to cover the full span.
Because each blind sits within its own frame, there will be a vertical join (centre post) where the blinds meet.
You will need a minimum reveal of 90mm in your window frame.
Can these be installed over sliding doors?
Yes — in most cases.
You’ll need a minimum 90mm reveal in front of the sliding door for the system to fit properly.
In some setups, minor modification to the top frame (mullion) may be required to ensure the door can slide freely without contacting the blind.
If you’re unsure, just send us a photo of your door and we’ll confirm exactly what’s needed.
Are they worth it for sleep?
If light is affecting your sleep, 100%.

Why is your motorised system cheaper than some manual systems?
Because we’ve designed the product differently from the ground up.
Most traditional systems are built around manual operation first — which means extra components like cords, pulleys, spring-loaded mechanisms, and tension systems. Those parts add complexity, cost, and more points of failure over time.
We’ve taken a different approach.
Our system is designed to be motorised from the start, which allows us to:
- Eliminate unnecessary moving parts
- Simplify the overall mechanism
- Reduce long-term maintenance issues
On top of that, we manufacture locally and control the full process, so we’re not adding layers of margin or costly upgrades.
So instead of charging extra for motorisation, we’ve built it into the product — resulting in a simpler, more reliable system at a more competitive price point.
Can I have both sheer and blackout in the same window?
Yes.
We offer a dual system inside one pelmet, meaning:
- Sheer/privacy blind for daytime
- Blackout blind for night
All within the same clean frame.
Will I lose space in my window?
Yes, slightly — and it’s important to understand this.
The system sits inside your window and includes:
- ~90mm top pelmet
- Space for the fabric to drop (~3 finger width)
- ~50mm bottom rail
So you will lose some visible window space, but this is what allows the system to fully block light
Do I need a certain window depth?
Yes.
For reveal fit:
- Single blind: ~70mm depth
- Dual blind: ~90mm depth

Do I need power or wiring?
No.
Our system is fully battery powered, wireless, and rechargeable — so there’s no electrician required.
The motor is charged via a simple USB cable and typically only needs charging once every change of season, depending on use.
If you prefer, we can also hardwire the system — but most customers choose the battery option for its simplicity and clean install.
Will they help with heat and insulation?
Yes, to a degree.
While they’re designed for blackout, the sealed system also helps:
